Thumbs up Rx8 running... cold?

Hey, just got my 06 AT with 23k miles about a week ago, love the hell out of the car so far. Just wondering, when I drive my 8, it never goes to halfway in the temp range. It goes to right around where the temp gauge is on this car:

Is this normal? Should I be worried that its not at "full operating temp" or is that what they normally operate at?

Alright, was just wondering. Also, do non tape player equipped cars come with the tape button, instead of a blackout switch? Because I can't seem to find my tape player anywhere (never got a complete list of options that are on the car from the dealer) and still have the button.

Thought so. I wanted to buy a tape/aux device (one that looks like a tape and fits into a tape slot, but plugs into an mp3 player to play your music on the car's speakers), but I guess I'm outta luck. Looks like the only way to get aux input on these cars is with that aux-in kit on the forums or some demonic cd player hack/solder that I saw one some sites, huh?

lol you could always use a wireless transmitter from your ipod to radio, sometimes the sound quality is iffy though.

Argh I never thought of that haha. Picking one up tomorrow it seems. That is assuming it doesn't sound like all my music has been recorded in 8-bit, but we'll see. Thanks for making me feel dumb haha

if you ever see the temp gauge point to all the way HOT you better shut your car down immediately.

Anytime the gauge goes further then that point you are running 230f+, and you need to immediately stop what yer doing.
