If you aren't hearing a shift beep from time to time, you are not driving it right.

How can you say that? If you can't drive, then stay off the snow, but if you are a good driver, and have good tires. Then RX8 is fine on the snow.

Be prepared to have a stupid smile plastered across your face each time you drive.

1. Don't start her up and then turn her off before the engine's had a chance to warm.

(How'd everyone miss that one!)

^ you can bypass that by revving up to 3000, then turning off engine.

That quiet chug-chug-chug sound you hear when idling? Normal.

Don't be stupid, use premium grade fuel only. 10-20 cents less per gallon is not worth losing your engine over.

RX-8's are reliable cars.

Do not drag race this car, you will be embarassed. Take it to the track or an autocross course, and you will be amazed. Or any twisty road for that matter. This car was born to turn.

Stock brakes tend to squeal even after the slightest bit of wear. Aftermarket Brembos solve this.

There aren't many mods that add serious power, unless you go forced induction.

Stock tires are just okay (Dunlops), they have good grip, but tend to lose their grip rather suddenly without any warning. In the rain this is exaggerated even more, and you will slide the tail slightly.

Keep an eye on the oil level. I check every weekend to be safe.

Last but not least, ENJOY the car. This car loves to rev, loves to be run and hates traffic.
