Hey everyone I just got me an 05 RX8 and was wondering if there were any common issues with the car and how i can prevent them from happening any help would be appriciated. thanks

 

Look under the Tech Garage thread, and the sub thread called issues and problems. Theres enough info there to melt your face off.

 

make sure it's warm before you shut it off, a redline a day keeps the carbon away, have it completely warm before taking it above 4k rpms, check oil regularly and post pics

Yes there are common issues. They can be prevented by maintaining the car correctly.

 

By maintaining the car incorrectly there will be common issues.

 

lol....so now the serious answer...

Get an oil change ever 3K miles...check oil level every 1500 miles.......Don't do short distances or quick moves and turn off the engine while it's still cold...

And last but not least ..read the manual!....:P

 

Read the owners manual for starters and then read this site front to back... then start a new thread about it...
