Question is the RX8 engine rialible?

Hi there my only concern is :

Is this engine rialible(238 hp version)?

Will it keep its performance for 200.000 miles or this is a very delicate engine?

I had a celica gts and 200.000 miles on it and its performance were good until i keept it.

Thanks for your answers

Rotary engines, if properly taken care of, can last almost indefinately. My uncles 89 rx7 ran wonderfully with 220,000 miles on the original engine.

N/A rotaries have been good for 200,000 miles and then some. Performance should stay the same provided you take care of the car like you are supposed to--as with any vehicle.

Since the Renesis specific version is new it's hard to say but rotaries historically are very reliable. Just change the oil and air filter per the manual and don't overheat them. A few people here already have over 50,000 miles with no problems. I've owned 5 RX-7s and all of mine went well over 100K. Highest was 153K and it ran fine. If you look at cars.com for used RX-7s there are plenty that have racked up over 150K-200K with the original engines.

nope, the renesis only runs for 1200 miles and then dies instantly. you should probably keep your celica.

thanks for your questions

RX 7 258 on the odom

I bought my RX 7 with 65k, sold many years later with 258K- As some indicated if you are good about the oil change,(I did it every 3k) these engines will last a very long time- and deliver good performance-
