You could always take Mahoney's suggestion...

"Comfy?"
"No."
I just laughed my *** off at that point. What a classic.

Being 6' 4" in an RX8 is nothing compared to shoehorning Bubba Smith into a Civic.

Seat pan mod

I'm 6'4", and I drove a LOT of RX-8s before deciding on mine (non-sunroof, non-power seat), and I am VERY comfortable in the car. I could not get comfortable in any model with the sunroof, and could only drive with the seat reclined too far back.

Not only does the sunroof take away headroom, but so does the power seat - it doesn't lower as far as the manual seat. And, unfortunately, they are often found together as part of the Series I Grand Touring package. Sport (base) models had neither, I've seen Touring models with all combinations, but Grand Touring had both. On Series II, the combinations are a bit simpler - only the Sport had neither power seat nor sunroof.

Now, all that said and done, there is a modification to the seat pan for those who need more headroom :

I'm 6'3", had to skip the sunroof, fit just fine. Hey DEADPHOENIX52, how about some info on what it feels like to drive your RX-7 GSL-SE? I lusted after that car so bad once upon a time, spent some time in a GSL, but didn't get to feel the extra horses. cheers.

6'5". Opted for the GT package with sunroof and power seat. The seating position isn't perfect but it isn't bad either. I also drove a sport which I fit in much better but the deal wasn't right. I got the GT for the same price from another dealer.

I'm 6'4" as well. Dont buy one with a sunroof. Otherwise, you will fit just fine.

This thread reminds me of when I was pumping gas and a rather large male of african descent walked up and stated " Damn! I love the look of these cars, I'm just too big for em!" This guy was at least 6 '7 or so though. I just laughed.

Being 5'8 I really can't offer much else on the subject.
