Ok, so this isn't all that much of a surprise, but from the September 23 edition of Brandweek:

"Like Dr. Pepper, Mazda is anticipating placement for its new RX-8 in the film, now shooting in Vancouver. Sources said the Mazda being used on location has the RX-8 logo clearly visible, but the "X" is being reconfigured to resemble the movie's logo. The RX-8 starts production in February. X-Men 2 would be a rare movie tie-in for Mazda."

 

sweet the rx8 is going ot be in vancouver, i get to take pictures now of an actual rx8....


maybe i might get to sit in it.... bwhahahaha.
