You don't have to drive like a lunatic to enjoy the RX-8's handling. You notice it every time you turn the wheel, every time you step on the brakes. Everything it does is *effortless*, balanced, elegant. You notice it when dodging around in city traffic, fighting for a parking space, or simply merging onto a highway.

It's not so much the ultimate limits that are so impressive; it's the wonderful balance, the feeling of being as light as a feather, instant turn-in and so on.

I don't disagree that the Legacy GT is a fine automobile, it will only outhandle the RX-8 in the snow and rain.
What's the matter with you? Are you a complete idiot? Does your e-thuggery make up for your lack of a real life?
I own an RX-8, moron, and have driven an LGT on many occasions. I have also driven an LGT that had high-performance summer tires instead of the stock all-seasons. Much improvement in handling qualities. So before you go calling me out, you better get your facts straight. Idiot.
I stand by my statements. On normal everyday street driving, you will not notice the RX-8's advantage in handling. The LGT is a very well-balanced car and has very good handling qualities. Until you put as many miles in both cars as I have, keep your mouth shut.
It's too bad that some of you Mazda fanboys have blinders on, it makes you unable to help someone out when they have a question.

YOU MEAN YOU NEVER NOTICED the excellent chassis balance and flex-free stiffness, the smoothest revving engine this side of a V-12, great clutch and steering feedback, and one of the best transmissions in existence in the RX-8 is apparent at any speed.

Car and Driver even noticed this RX-8 fact in their 10 best list for best sports coupe in 2004, 2005 and 2006. The TSX even edge out the Legacy GT as best sports sedan and it has less power and front wheel drive.

Jay Leno own just about every cool car that ever was and is, and he even noticed what you didn't. So who are we going to believe?

JAY LENO - I've got an RX-8, and it's the same thing. It's only 238 horsepower, but there's a lightness to the touch and to the feel of it. It is really, I think, one of the best. Both the RX-8 and the Miata are the best-balanced cars in the world. They just seem to fit exactly right. I think many experts will tell you, and I think this is something not many super car owners will admit, but I will admit, I think the Mazda's got the best gearbox of almost any car produced. It's extremely short, you never miss a gear. It's extremely predictable. Click click click. Click click click. And the fact that you use it a lot makes it enjoyable. You feel connected to the car.
