Unhappy RX-8 Versus 2005 Corvette

I hope I got someones attention.. Hey guys please help me with your opinions. I really love my RX-8, the way it handles, the looks I get, I especially like the high rev-shifting and the sound of that to, I love everything about this car, Except the lack of Power, plain and simple.. I really don't know how much longer I can wait for some after market product to give me the power this car deserves. I just looked at the 2005 Corvette and drove it, Man this car makes the Powerrrr, I'am to the point that I'am seriously thinking about trading in my RX-8 and driving home this Corvette....

Guys I'am new to this Rotary concept and I know this car has potential, But maybe time is not on my side for me... Comments please

If you can afford losing the back seats and the hit you will take for trading the RX-8 in on a more expensive car there is no question, get the Vette. I have not driven one yet but if it's better than the C5 like everyone proclaims then this one is a no brainer.

You gotta respect the vettes for their power. Those things are made to fly. However, the problem I have had with the Vettes is it seems like everyone and their brother owns ones. They are literally everywhere. I never look twice at vette so there is not much wow factor.

You can blow away most anything on the street and car will handle great.

I don't care for the interior at all in Vettes. People buy them for their engine though.

Just remember that their is always going to be something faster no matter what you buy. It sure would be embarrassing if Neon blew you off the road

There is a $20K price difference in the cars. There will not be much coming in the way of FI for the RX8 in the near future. If you need the power of the Vette, then it is a nice car, but I have never liked (even the new) interior, and I do need the small convenience of the back seats. For the RX8 you can get the cat back, air intake, hi flow cat and get maybe 10-15 hp. Won't be real noticable. If performance (and straight line speed) are your #1 priority I don't think the RX8 is really the best option for you, even in it's price class (S2000, 350Z, STI, EVO).
