Is the RX-8 Was a transformer:

Would the Mazda RX-8 be a Decepticon or an Autobot?

Decepticon because of the rear suicide doors and the dark, evil mystery that is the rotary engine. Also, it just looks too awesome not to be. All the Autobots are Detroit built anyway.

Jazz was originally an Rx8 before they made him into a solstice gxp for the movies. He is an autobot.

I say autobot, at least if it was an S2. The smiley face front end makes it look to happy to be a decepticon.

RX-8 was used as Jazz/Meister in Japan
RX-8 was used as Shockwave in the US.

So both.

i know it has a smiley face but with the evil eyes and sleek look of rotary emblems
change the front bumper and add eyelids and it screams decepticon!

Outside of US, there was one of each. White was Autobot, Blue was Decpticon.

Nordic Green was the one that saved the world though..

There was also a silver JAZZ.
