RX-8 towed

Dead RX-8 at work, just wouldn't turn over. Had to have it towed down the street to East Coast Mazda.

The car is ready after a few days; dealer wasn't clear on the problem -- they replaced the battery under warranty and some other service bulletins.

It's ready to pick up, but I just can't bring myself to do it yet since my loaner car is a Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT. Nothing like a 400hp ferrari powertrain+F1 gearbox!

That said, I do miss my 8! I think I'll pick it up on Monday...

WTF??? you got a maserati loaner? that doesn't seem right

although, one thing to keep in consideration, if you keep your loaner car for longer than it takes to fix the car, they can charge you for the additional days. doesn't mean they will...but they can.

Just lucky -- I work for Ferrari Maserati North America...

As we speak, one floor below me in our garage we an FXX and an MC12! When they fire up our entire building shakes...

Also assorted QPs, GranSports, F430s, 612s... No 599GTB yet...

Dude, that's a sweet deal. Finally a loaner car that does the 8 justice.

it all depends on the dealer. if they have their own loaner cars, you can get all kinds of great stuff, if it goes through a rental company, chances are you're going to get a ford unless you pay out of pocket for an upgrade. when i have to take mine in, i'll pay the extra $10 for the mercedes enterprise has.

Just got my car back -- dealer replaced starter and battery under warranty.

Downside is I had to turn in my Maserati QP loaner car back into my company -- just in time since I came close to killing myself a few times exploring the limits of the QP's Ferrari V8!

And here's the sad part as all new owners try to test there cars limits.

I have my car back and it starts fine.

However, now I have condensation in one of my tail lights again.

I had these replaced last summer!

How does the Maserati handle? I'm sure it's quick, but it looks heavy. There's a guy here in Chicago that I pass on the highway from time to time heading home from work. He always revs his engine at me and takes off. I wish just once he'd see me rolling my eyes at him.
