RX-8 Replacement

RX-8 Replacement
What car would you buy ( In terms of downsizing and upgrading) to replace your RX-8 if, IF, you were to get new wheels?
As far as downsizing, I would say the only choices would be the Civic SI or 3 Speed. Maybe MX-5 also. I have driven all three cars, and they are great, chepo, drives.
As far as upgrading, the sky's the limit. But to keep it real I would say the Infiniti g37 or the Mustang GT. I have driven the g37, it's a great, powerful car. But I found it more luxurious than Sporty.
ANy thoughts?

2009 RX-8 Touring
MX-5 isn't an upgrade from the RX-8. My dad has an '07 MX-5, and it's a nice little convertible, but my RX-8 is much nicer even if the roof doesn't come off.

Y'all are breaking my heart with this "downgrade" stuff. I think my gains and losses, based on what I want and need in life right now, are enough to call this a lateral move. Heh.
I'll be seriously eyeing a G37 coupe or Acura TSX/TL 3 or 4 years down the road. Luxury, performance, manual 6-speed.... what more can one want? I'm leaning more to the G37 side presently, but that may change, and I have nothing but time.
