I have found an RX-8 for sale on www.craigslist.org for only 8K. Long story short, the guy needs to get rid of the car due to business failing. I've seen plenty of pictures of the car (Grand Touring Titanium) but was wondering what ya'lls thoughts would be on this. Is there anyone out there that can check VIN numbers. I've got that and want to see if it stolen or what. Looks and sounds legit but these days ya never know.

Maybe there is someone on here that lives in the Chicago area and can check it out for me. That's where this guy supposedly lives.

The old adage, "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is." applies here, methinks. If this was legitimate, he could get more than that, maybe twice as much, for the car from a "reputable" used car dealer. There is a catch somewhere, like perhaps a "and take over my payments" in the fine print. If you go for this one, don't pay anything until you take a close look at the title and the VIN on the car.
