Well... I submitted a preorder (Sunlight Silver 6-speed w/ black leather) tonight to my local dealership. I guess I can now cautiously wait to hear from a dealership representative. Is there a consensus on what dealerships are requiring for a deposit?

I'd say you are better off calling a few of them. Not all the ones that get listed even know about the pre-order process let alone participate. You're also better off calling 'cause you'll want to find one that offers MSRP, not marked up and not "fair market value". Better hurry - allocations are already getting used up.

I put down a 1000 deposit, refundable once they sell the car (if I don't want it).
