I'm still debating on the Racing beat body kit or mix and matching kits. If I mix and matched, I would get the usual stock front air dam, side skirts from mazdaspeed, and stock rear aero's, or , I haven't really seen if it'd look nice or anything, but get Racing beat side skirts and Racing beat rear aero's, I think that might look nice, but once again I ask the question, how do body kits work? Do they come painted or do I need to spend more money on getting them painted, also, what are the usual costs to get them installed and where?

 

i just think they look nasty as hell...they do nothing for the 8....

 

majority of owners like strakes, i personally dont like it either.

clear bra should be first but like others mention are not a cheap item. Regarding bodykits, just enjoy your car first, until you wear out the looks then get something to change it up. It seems like you have so much planned you don't know where to start first, so one thing at a time my man.

 

Get the clear bra ASAP, before you get any paint damage on the nose. This is critical - ASAP! You want to get it from Shadow Tint, an XPEL dealer (check out www.xpel.com ). They did my RX-8 1.5 years ago, and my Audi 3 years ago. If you do a search for by forum name and 'xpel', you'll find the post where I listed the exact costs (Oh, they do a great job with window tinting as well).

On the practical side,

- some type of protection for the AC coils and oil coolers. A stone can really ruin your day as some owners can attest. Check the Garage DIY section for many different grille/mesh solutions.

- I find the cargo net to be a very useful addition. Holds stuff that you don't want to get tossed around, and takes up next to no space when not being used. Pain in the butt to install though, due to retarded fasteners.

 

:o Get the shock sensor upgrade for sure. If it weren't for that little baby I would not have known when and where my car was dented. A skateboarder in a parking lot hit my car, dented in the fender and left. I was in shock when I saw it but luckily someone HEARD it happen and confirmed everything. The boarder came and it has been fixed now but I am thankful for that little alarm to help bring the truth out if you know what I mean.

 

i'm gonna be selling my side and rear appearance package if you're interested. i also have a sunlight silver but i will be installing the mazdaspeed skirts and rear bumper soon.
