Is the RX-8 a keeper?

Is the RX-8 a keeper? It is for me and I will either replace the parts/engine or buy another one.

Background: I used to own a Mazdaspeed 6, but I never felt the same way about that car as I do about the RX-8. It didn’t help that after I passed 80,000 miles in the Mazdaspeed 6, I spent upwards of $4,000 replacing parts including the differential. (I never did any hard launches or racing in that car.) The Mazdaspeed 6 was faster than the RX-8, but it wasn’t as fun to drive. The bottom line is that I’ve never felt the same way about a car like I do about the RX-8.

Additional Question: If the next generation RX-8 looks like this, will any of you replace your current RX-8 with this car?

Would I replace my RX-8 with that car? Hell no!

Would I buy one and have in it addition to my RX-8? Hell yes!

I'm a huge fan of that car, it makes me think of what the DB9 would look like if Mazda had styled it.

It looks pretty big. That would probably replace the 6 too.
I like the rims though.

Thats how I feel about it too. The rims are the only nice looking thing on that car.

I like how smooth it is. They cut the door handles, mirrors, and headlights down. I think the car flows nicely but it does look a bit heavy.

I like this concept. I hope the replacement of the Rx8 looks similar to this. Maybe a little smaller.
Something similar to the Shinari concept along with a 16x + low weight would be awesome.
And the Rx8 is a keeper for sure.

I thought it was a Mazda 6 concept car. Anyhow, that isn't close to anything that could be produced. Does that look like a 5-mph front crash bumper? It is just supposed to give hints of what future Mazdas will look like.

Who knows what the actual car will look like. It probably won't be that shaved or that low, and that certainly isn't a 5-mph front crash bumper.

its got an aggressive look going on, most concepts do but never really keep there lines and smooth-ness. Only one i know that almost keept it was the new Camaro...

If i had the money id buy it and give the wife the 8... but will i get rid of the 8? hell no...

And that concept looks to luxurious for my blood.

All I know is that I'm trying to enjoy my RX-8 to the fullest right now... Don't want to distract myself too much with the next RX, although I do have my eyes on it.
