I recently bought a 2004 Mazda RX-8 and it came with an ugly chrome aftermarket fuel door. I've been looking around to find a factory fuel door to replace it with and found one for a 2005 RX-8. Are the fuel doors the same and compatible or do I need one specifically for the 2004? Thanks!

 

Yes, all 2004-2008 RX-8 body shells are identical, meaning all body parts for any one of these years will fit exactly on any other of these years.

Many minor shape changes going from 2008 to 2009, so those are usually not compatible.


You are fine with the 2005.
