I've heard the term 'Ricer Fly-By' where some riced up car SRT, Civic, whatever flys past like you were racing and everybody knew it but you. Well, someone in a stock sounding black 8 jumped on my bumper going down a 4 lane highway tonight and as soon as we got past a car in the right hand lane, they swerved over and passed me all crazy like. I'm not complaining like wahhhh crying, i'm actually glad it happened cause it was at night and I realized how horribly yellow the inner lights are next to the Xenon's...

Any recommendations on what lights to replace the stocks with?

Oooh, I'm so glad you asked that question! I've been wondering the same thing!

 

Hm, I wonder if an actual pure yellow light would look sort of cool in there...it would definitely bring out the blue in the xenons possibly without being too overpowering...plus it's real hard to match that tint that xenons produce.

Do xenons even come that small? They're talking about the little halogen inner light sort of where the "tear ducts" would be if the headlight were an eye. They're only maybe 2cm across or so.

 

G8RBoy has this "issue" hacked - PM him to contribute. He sent me a shopping list of bulbs a few weeks ago.

 

I replaced mine recently with:

PIAA Super LED Wedge Bulbs - White Color - Part # 19263

These compliment the xenons perfectly. They will cost you around $25 with shipping. The install is a little tough due to the small space you have to work with but can be done with some patience and skinned knuckles. There are a few existing threads on this if you do a search.

I put some amber lights in there when I put my HID's in. Looked ok. I changed 'em back to stock and I'm waiting for my piaa wedge led's. Stock sux.
