I cross paths with other RX-8's 2-3 days of the week here in Colorado Springs. I usually give a wave but it is very rare to get any kind of response from other 8's. I do however get waves and such from Mazdaspeed 3's, CX-7's and Miata's.

 

Sorry, but cars never will get the "cult status" like motorcycles. Just to many cars out there and too many random people driving cars they don't know why they bought. I've tried many times with the Rx8 and I think it's just too hard to do when passing in a car.
Although. Maybe it's a color racisim thing. Like with my Red Ducati. No one EVER waved back. Just stared for a long time. Versus my Katana EVERYONE waves back. *shurgs*
Maybe someone should start a poll. What color gets waves. lol
