i saw a challenger cop car the other day on i10 in lousiana, black with ghost flame police decals

 

They even have GT-R as cop cars in Japan.

why? cuz in Japan they have really crazy professional street racers, they might be able to get away with just a PoS Civic. So to counter that, cops in Japan have to get "better" cars ...

That's a promotional car like the tricked out cop FC over at SevenStock. I remember talking to the guy (who of course was a cop) who brought it to SevenStock, I asked him on his opinion of all the illegally modded cars there and he said that he would not pull over and right a Ref ticket unless the driver was doing something stupid.

 

Clear corners come from the factory on JDM cars. Other markets too IIRC

Yeah cop cars are all AT, I'd be willing to put money on it. I did a ride along with my local dept and there is no way in hell a cop could manage driving a stick + trying to manage the radio and the computer right next to that...

 

Yeah and remember just like people, all cops are different... most of them dicks...

 

but what if the car it's chasing has more than 170 hp? and it's running away on the highway so no twisties for that rx-8 to gain ground?? lmao

 

Most Police work is routine and you don't need a high powered car for that. Even on the highways, very few try to outrun an officer. The 170 hp figure is only for the first couple of years of the AT 4 port engines. The last couple of years the AT has the 6 port engine that gives it at least 30 more hp (I forget the exact numbers).

 

RX-8 cop car is the worst invention ever! haha, it would get outrun by 99% of the cars on the road speeding.

 

The VW Beetle is actually in the county I live in ha ha. And is is hilarious to see it driving down the road.

 

Don't be so quick to place that bet... NC Sheriff's dept in Wake county just seized and added one of these manual only boys to their fleet.
