RX-8 Awards?

RX-8 Awards?
Just thinking to myself awhile....
I wonder what type of automotive awards the RX-8 will end up winning in its first year out. The WRX and RSX Type S have been given some really good press in their first years and have won some nice awards. I was just thinking that based on what we see now, if it were to arrive as is, I would guess:
Nearly Certain:
10 Best Car and Driver
Ward's Auto 10 Best Engines list
Other possibilities it would be a major contender for:
Automobile Magazine Car of the Year
M/T car of the year (doubt it, they seem to pick some real loser cars if you ask me....T-Bird??? Envoy??? Lincoln LS??? Avalanche?? Come on. This award is meaningless anyways, but still one to consider).
Anyways, I was just having some fun with this. I think automobile of the year could easily go to the Nissan Z, though there is always the all-star list
Just curious what you think. I know awards aren't everything if one personally loves the car, but they're still fun. I currently own a RSX Type S, and each time it wins another award, I find myself smiling and enjoying the fact that I made a good, award winning purchase. It would be fun if the RX-8 ends up the same.

The Motor Trend "Car of the Year" award is for sale. The company that says they will buy the most adds from both Peterson Publishing and in other media promoting the fact that their car won the "award" gets it. A total joke if you ask me.
