I am currently a potential buyer for the auto version of the RX-8. I know many of you might say I should get the manual version but It just wont work for me since I live in LA. So I was wondering if anyone in SoCaL knows a dealer that will let you test drive an auto version of the RX-8. I just need to test drive it to push me over the edge to get it. I've been to two dealers so far and they say that they dont have the auto for test drive so if anyone that lives in socal knows a dealer that has the autos for test drive let me know. thanks!

 

why don't you call or visit some local dealers.

 

Called many dealers and they said they all have the 6-speed manuals. If anyone has test driven an auto in socal, let me know

I bought mine from Irvine Mazda in Lake Forest and they let me drive an auto RX-8 before comitting.

 

Yea, the Mazda dealer in Covina said I would have to do all the paper work and everything and I would get to test drive the car before I sign the paperwork. But I want to compare the suspension before I do anything. I think its just how you look that determines if you can test drive or not. I'm 19 so I guess they are doubtful to let me behind a 30k car. Should have just went there w/ money hanging out of my pocket. lol
