RX-8 to 350Z
My 8 was totaled a couple months ago when I hit a deer at about 45mph, and soon after I got my hands on a 350Z. Most comparisons between the two cars are very one sided, where you love one car and hate the other. I love them both and for different reasons. I would like to say that the 8 is much more of a drivers car to me than the Z is. From every aspect except for acceleration the 8 takes the cake. The Z feels extremely lack luster when you drive it, you can feel the weight of the car all over the road, and not in a good way. The steering is very loose and sloppy feeling, I have since put on coilovers which sort of fixed that problem. The transmissions on both cars seem very smooth and make for short pleasant throws. But whenever I step on the gas in the Z it makes all of its "downfalls" fade away. I say that in quotations because the Z by no means is a bad performer, it just doesn't perform as well as the 8. Anyways, heres the 8 and my Z.

I went from an 04 RX8 I purchased in 2008 with 79K miles, loved driving it but got fed up with the Engine light issues and the flooding, traded it for a black 350Z in 2009 that I enjoyed for its speed and power and then traded that last year for an 09 RX-8. I miss the power but love the RX* handling and the fact that it has more space as the trunk space is larger and ofcourse, the back seat too.
I went in to a Mazda/Subaru dealer, saw the BRZ,thought I would trade my 09 RX8 for it plus $5000 but soon as I sat in it, I thought that I would not trade my 09 for the BRZ if the dealer gave it to me even. Inside, it sucked!

^honestly once I graduate and can afford to have two cars I could see myself getting another 8 and making it weekend/track car. one of my good friends has an 8 and i still go to the 8 meets around here so i still get to ride in them. but they just aren't as practical for daily driving as the z is. I get like 28mpg on the highway in my z, and it has only 30k miles so it will be pretty reliable.

^ in due time. I want to button up a few things before I do a shoot of any kind. I've had this car only for a couple months and already put it on coils and got exhaust. I need to do my wheels next which I am getting this Christmas.

but seriously though what kind of wheels are you going with
picked up a set of stock 370Z GT RAYS wheels at the track this weekend...they were crazy light
I guess I just opened myself up to being told my wheels are gonna snap off while pulling out of my garage. I guess I should stop answering the steady stream of people that keep asking me about them. I personally think he should go with the glossier black version.

no reason to get butthurt, I know they Are cheap wheels, and I'm completely ok with that, and completely ok with being called cheap. I'm young and have other priorities, my car is just a hobby.
and Tim I haven't seen that color in person, it kind of scares me, I don't know if it's more grey or more black, if it was more grey I might like them, but I am not sure.
