Anyone hear rumors about major changes for the 2006 RX-8?

The 2006 will be supercharged and turbocharged. It will have roughly 400hp and lambo doors will be an option.

Ok so I dumbed my question down too much. Can you blame me?

OK, so as far as anyone knows, will there will still be at least a base manual RX-8 with 237hp and a 237hp GT manual for 2006 with similar body styling? Basically i heard a rumor about changes and I didnt want to post it ( and add to the rumor) since its probably unfounded right?

You know, a flux capacitor is a real thing. It's the capacitor in your TV that holds the memory of all your channel settings when the power goes out, so you don't have to re-learn your channels everytime you have a brown-out. Just an FYI...

probably no one cares...lol.

Actually, it would have to be thrown from an airplane to reach 88mph. Of course, you'd also need to harness 1.21 Jigawatts.

BTW, I like how this immediately went from questions about the '06 RX8 to an ode to Back to the Future.

It will have 250 Hp, but my "butt dyno" says it is actually 249...it will get 40 MPG, and will have .....coat hangers.

Oh yes...mazda has already said that you personally will not be allowed to drive one. I know all this because mazda had the ***** to send me a nice Cd, free of charge, about their plan to rip your shirt and push you in the mud when you come to the dealership

and the mr fusion will be an option. but you will only be able to get it as part of a package that includes the bose stereo with an 8 track player, a moonroof, leather , traction control that cant be turned off and 50 extra lbs of lead in the trunk adding 10k to the price

So when does it get the hover option installed on the wheels. They would have to do something about the wheel well clearance to get the tires to turn on their sides.

Wait! What about the doughnut maker for the trunk? I heard you would be able to get that to replace the 50 extra pounds of lead in the trunk.....

The new 2006 RX8 will be able to travel back in time to the year 1985 or 1955 when it reaches speeds of 80 miles per hour and then return Back to the future, it won't run on gas, but on combustion fission by recycling your garbage. oh yeah did I mention it flys too.

Hey, I lived in Indianapolis for three years. Left there in Nov '03. Man I wish I'd have stayed there. Great city. Are there a lot of RX8 owners there now? I saw maybe one or two right before I moved...just like yours (foxman) actually.

Mine turns 1 year old this week. I don't see too many on the roads but occasionally I will. Indyfly boy and greyghost are both active with me in the local RX 7/8 club. I am kinda glad there aren't that many on the road and it would be nice to get some more of the ones that are out there active in club activities, the people who do participate are strong in their commitment, we just need more participants, move back so you can join up with us. :p
