I normally drive with DCS off unless it's raining. And I normally drive like a old lady when it's raining, so I'm not sure if I ever seen it in action.
If i get sloppy on the track especially overbraking the DSC light showing a car leaving rubber on the road shows up.

Once I had 40 series and 45 series tires with different brands, and the DSC was fine on the street, but when I put the hammer down on the track it really confused the DSC, and even the brake light came on.

So I had to turn it off that day, but after some trial and error, the DSC is valuable enough for me to always leave on, and this time rotate tire 3 or 4 times before worn out to even wear and tire diameter.

FYI, if you hold the DSC button down for about 10 seconds the car with tire marks appears permanently and your DSC is now 100% off. It's more fun that way :D

It does reset after you turn the car off. It's not totally permanent.

I used some meguiars plastx and a buffer and it did not work at all. I'm going to have to try something else. I do know it is on the outside but I just can't seem to buff the wavy lines out of the lens along with the haze.

Have you tried the Turtle wax headlight lens kit like I mentioned earlier in this topic? That worked magic on my lights as you saw from the pictures.

I'm going to try that next but I really do not think it is going to work. There some raised areas on the lenses. I might be looking at just wet sanding. With a procedure starting with 800 grit and moving up to 3000, then a nice polish. It might be the only thing that will work other than the lamps being replaced, which is not goingtohappen.com.

I save the bad mileAGE for the track! (maybe 8-10mpg)
Please give me the name of the fairy you used to sprinkle the magic pixie dust on your car. Same trip and I am talking 14MPG and 22 was the best ever on the Highway

They do, it is called the G-37 coupe.

The big issue with DSC for me is acceleration in traffic. I have had times that I had stomped the car to get into another lane and spun the tires to do it and the DSC killed the power almost getting me killed. I now turn it off unless rain or snow is present.

Go to Walmart and purchase the Turtle Wax headlight lens restorer. It's a $10 fix and it worked like I would have never imagined. Below you can see my before and after pics.

The good thing about this product is that you should take before and after pictures because on the box, Turtle Wax offers a money back guarantee with pictures if you are not satisfied!
wow, that was quite an improvement. Seems like a very good product

Yeah, my 8 did that from day one.

I aligned my 07 GT sport suspension, to get rid of the high rear neg camber ( -2.1 down to -1.65, toe very slightly in).

I can turn, and stomp the gas, and I never slip, even on 225/40r18's Hankook's V12's ( they are stickier than my first SPT's, but still slipped until the final alignment).

On a very slippery track day, I would lose traction turning left full throttle at about 60 mph, so I had to baby it under that condition, only.

The reason my fairy visits me is I bought a 6spd Auto on purpose to enjoy that turbine like quiet and smoothness.

To get that 27.1 on the hwy, I was only running 2500 rpm @ approx. 75 mph.

Ah yes, the Z vs the RX, your post is a nice addition to the, uh, let us say, discussion. My first two cars were 280Z's, loved them so much. However, I immediately lost the love with the 280ZX. A few years later when the 300Z turbo came out, it brought me back, but no way I could afford it. The return of the Z was a little strange for me because I was already lusting after the RX-8. Looking at your pic of the 350Z, she is looking pretty damn good! I needed the two rear seats of the Mazda, and loved the way it looked. Haven't driven the new Z so can't confirm the pros and cons, just know that I love my RX. The original RX-7 took over the love for me when the 280Z lapsed in 1978. Loved the first RX, especially the GSL-SE with the extra horspower. Didn't really like the 2nd generation, thought the 3rd generation was incredible, but so expensive and "extreme", for lack of a better word. When the RX-8 came out, I was overjoyed, especially when I saw that maybe, maybe I could afford the car, minus the $6000 of sunroofs, stereos, leather, DVD nav etc. Bought mine in 2008, what a machine! As far as the reliability, I hoped that waiting until 2008 to buy gave Mazda time to work out some issues. My current plan is to drive this thing for a long time, then, maybe I'll buy the new RX7, or RX9? cheers.
