Rust Suicide Door Floor Panel

Hey, everyone check your cars. Right by the suicide door panel, when you open the door on both sides kneel down, and look at the panel trim. It has rust build up. Not sure how many people have this, but at the dealer I noticed the other Rx-8's at the dealer had it too. I showed it to Mazda and they took pictures and sent it out to Mazda people. They told me that the engineers are looking into it to see how to fix it and prevent it. Here are some pictures. The rust is from the door seal on the suicide door, which is touching the panel trim.

Wasn't there a TSB about that? I seen to remember some TSB regarding lower sill rubbing from the rear doors.

Maybe you'll get a free repair on this...

Chris...
