But what brand of D585 coil is legit and what brand of D585 are these coils?

I was only able to find one that had a brand name, and that was "Green Motion." The common trend with weak yet compatible coils seems to be white epoxy rather than carbon black.

I was only able to find two brands that I could confirm as legit, and those were ACDelco D585, and Standard Motor Products UF262.

I don't know what coils are in this kit.

And that there is the risk IMO. There are quite a few different companies that that sell a D585 coils and the prices range by quite a bit from $15.00 a coil to almost $60.00 a coil (or $100.00+ a coil at a GM dealer).

The brand was posted previously, though i had to remove the post contents due to the rules. To be fair, I don't think i can withhold that knowledge.

It was noted that the coils are ACDelco.

Well that is good, if true. Strange that it is not mentioned in the description though. But I guess sources on the coils is something to keep secret for some reason.

Yup, just noting that it was stated. I have no ability to confirm or disprove the statement. I just know how some people get when they think the staff is playing favorites or deliberately suppressing information. :)

Interesting comments, I wish I could have seen the comments from Rotarywerks prior to removal but policy is policy.

Some points brought up and some good feedback from those who use the product.

Basically, from what I gather, the product uses ACDelco coils, not insulated PnP adapters, has a powder coated bracket and a 4 into2 into 1 ground wire.

The website states factory wires but there appears to be a question regarding use of factory wires with the d585 coils.

Research will continue.

Further input is appreciated. Thanks.

At the sake of avoiding bush beating, here are the terminals: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/tay-46069

Actually somewhere around here I have a DIY briefly showing how to build the wires if needed.

I second Charles, there's no question about it. While the factory wires can be made to work with the D585 coils with very minor modification it is extremely unreliable. (Trust me, I'm one of the few people who has acctualy done it.)

If you verify with RotaryWerks that they do, in fact include the appropriate wires, I would have no objections to you purchasing it.

Sticking to the topic here..feedback on RotaryWerks coil kit.

Awesome kit, never had any issues, if you live in south Florida you would know how good of a reputation Rotarywerks has. They rebuilt my engine to the exact specs I asked for, clean shop, and I personally trust their work.
In other terms, I have nothing negative to sat about the product quality no matter the price.
Could had fooled me it was cheap product for cheap price but it works perfectly on day one, still works perfectly now.
