RIP rx8 (a tribute to our fallen comrades)
I am starting this thread not as a gallery to look at wrecked 8's for entertainment, but rather as a place where us totaled 8 survivors can come together and know we are not alone. Yes, that sounds sappy, but when you lose your 8 and go to a local meet and see everybody enjoying their 8's, only then will you understand.
So, I will start this off. RIP KIT, totalled about 3 weeks ago. Story: On my way to work, bout 7am, got sideswiped by a Civic who sent me into both (left and right side) guardrails. You may ask how I would lose control with such a great handling car, well, both my rear tires were bald. I was waiting for winter to replace. End of story, he drove off and I was screwed.

t-boned by a van, spun around twice, went up a curb sideways, and came to a stop on top of the side walk facing on coming traffic...it was a hit and run, luckily the lady or guy driving turned into a dead end streat

yeah i wasnt payin attention as to who was the driver, but my GF saw that it was a man, as the cops where askin me question some lady runs in screaming "that it was HIS (my) fault", as the cops tell her to calm down they ask her who she was and she replied that she was the driver of the van that hit me, then they asked her for a DL and she didnt have one! while that was goin on my GF went over to the van and she saw the guy standing there, as she was inspecting the van lookin for damage she noticed that the guy stunk of alcohol...
crazy ****, i cant believe she tried to put the blame on me when she had no DL or insurance and her "passenger" stunk of alcohol...

well the phone call to the cops was recorded, but the cops said they couldnt press charges on her cus she returned to the scene...all the info was taken and everything was handled, i talk to my insurance and everything was taken care of, they said they couldnt get a hold of her, but that it wasnt my fault...i got my check and bought another 8 
yeah the only thing that pissed me off was the fact that i had brand new TR1s on those wheels, they were less than a month old and i got all four for less than 400 brand new

Damn, well at least you got them cheap so you didn't lose to much. We all know that once its totaled, the insurance company owns everything except for your loose shat in da cab n trunk.
I was in need of new tires. That's why I fishtailed.

My bad i read the beginning of the thread awhile ago so i had forgotten that you said they were bald, when you said you may or may not have done similar deeds i assumed you got new ones too right before the wreck just like dozer
