Rims

I have a set of oem rims from a 09 my car is a 04 ( it was a deal I couldn't pass up. My question is, should I keep these the same color, paint them granite grey (or around that color), or get new rims? Yes I know who cares or I should make the decision but I want some opinions from others with rx8s. Thanks guys

Who cares, you should make your own decision.

^ +1 gunmetal. The oem color only looks good on darker cars.

ha ha.

i like those wheels...so i vote leave them color-wise, but drop the car and get spacers. that'll look good. then a year or so down the line you can paint them to change it up.

I hope it's just because of the way you are parked but that front end looks really awkward. Are you lowered on anything? I'd do that before getting wheels.

undertray/wheel well seems to be missing. giving the illusion of a larger gap since you can see straight through to the ground.

Yep your right the tray fell off during winter going into a ditch doesn't help. Also that's with 04 OEM rims on other side. I just took a pic at that time to send to my fiance to see if she liked them. I had some springs to drop the car couple inches but its my daily driver so I can't drop it due to bad snow months. Thanks guys for ur suggestions its appreciated. Also can anyone Photoshop them dark grey? Thanks again

What's up D! I'd keep them as is and of course a small drop wouldn't hurt for the extra space.

If you'd have your windows tinted I'd say go with the granite gray.

They look pretty good, i like them. Maybe a little darker color?...just an idea. Darker colors seem to look better on light colored cars.

They definitely don't look bad at all as they are, but I think they would look better if you darken them some... Gunmetal would look really good imo. As long as I am picturing what it would look like in my head right ha

Domenico - the only way to solve your problem is to give me the 09 wheels and buy yourself new rims... problem solve.

Ship it overnight express to Las Vegas. Thanks bro.

When I first saw the picture I thought you were changing your 09 rims out for the older ones lol. I love how these rims look, my car is wwp and I think they look great on it but they need to be a bit darker for your car.

Agreed I had a pair of black rims not long ago and the color looks great with my car. I actually got these from a white 09 ha. But Thanks for you opinion, hopefully soon I can paint these. I still have my stock 04 rims i need to sell.

I don't like Military Police either. You guys just wanna catch the bad people like us tankers. Just guard the gates and don't worry about us. We will protect you from the real enemies.
