Is this right?

So I picked up my 8 from the mazda dealership today after getting the engine and cat replaced under warranty. I drove it home and it was driving like a dream. Got home and popped the hood to make sure was dandy. It wasn't. I have a coolant leak that coming out of the coolant tank (in front of the battery) where the hose connects to the tank. It has some putty around it but it doesn't hold and coolant is squirting all over my battery and some other pieces.
So my question is; shouldn't they have replaced the parts they broke instead of ghetto-rigging it?

I'm taking her back tomorrow morning so I'm just trying to make sure I'm justified in my frustration.
Thanks all.
Peace

they would say it was already weakened by all these years of heat so it broke off when trying to remove it.
just saying be prepared. what else you gonna do if they dont replace it for free? driving off with a leaking reservoir?

Shops try to do that. The mechanic breaks something on accident then they say it was old so it broke. Usually the mechanic that messed up has to pay for it so they fight on it. There is really no way to prove that wasn't the case so you will have to pay

A court summons will usually put them in their place.
