hi guys . Need to remove my back silencer box just wondered how straight forward it is to remove and if there thread with a step by step on removing any help on this subject would be helpful.

 

you want to remove the muffler at the end of the exhaust?

 

yes bud need to take it off and give it a good scrub....i can see how to remove it from the centure pipe but need no how to release the rest?

 

A good scrub would be a dozen laps on the track. It will not separate from the exhaust pipe it's attached to. Mazda did a very deep crimp on the pipe. If you pull the u clamp off you'll see what I mean.

And how would and why would you "scrub" it?

 

I think we are having a language problem here.

 

im betting he got an errant plastic bag stuck to it and wants to clean it off. you have to pull the whoel thing down from the catalytic back

 

Yes your correct, we do seem to have language problem on what i'm asking for... In the UK we call the muffler a cat back or silencer or just rear box srry for that.
But i do see what you mean by the crimp on the pipe .... all i want to do make it gleam.

 

Just follow the catalytic converter and see where the exhaust hooks up
Then remove the hangers and you should be done... Polishing it will be a pain in the back!
