I wanted one to. You can only get it with the Automatic and it is not available on the newer RX8 because of the keyless entry feature we have. The technology is too far advanced that they haven't made one for our car and the special smartkey technology.
Tried companies in Canada and US and this is what we were told by our sales person.

You can get remote starting for a MT car. Most companies like Compustar have something called a reserve mode. Conditions must be right in order for your MT to start when you press the button. Before exiting the car, the Compustar senses that you are in Neutral. It also sense that you did not touch your clutch before exiting the car. When these conditions are met and you have not opened or unlocked any of your doors since you put it into reserve mode it will start at the push of a button.
In the case of keyless entry, hack installers will actually hide a spare key inside the car, but most installers will take apart a key and place only the transponder in the car.
I've had Computars and Acrtic Starts in the past and all with MT. I'm planning on getting another Compustar for my 8.
