Reminder to check the air pump in your fix a flat kit
I needed to air up a friends tire when I was over at their house so I got the air pump out of my trunk. Still brand new, never used before. Once I began unwinding the power cord the insulation on the wires crumbled to pieces. I'm sure this is somewhat climate dependent, the car was originally in TX and now FL.
It would have sucked if I found that out with a flat tire on the side of the road. I have roadside assistance so it wouldn't be that big a deal but I would still like to have an air pump in there just in case.
Anyway just a warning to check it. I had looked at it before and it was untouched so assumed it would work fine.

Good call.
Almost 6 years and I've never even looked in mine or checked the spare.
Could be an inner tube in there for all I know.

I've used mine dozens of times and works like a champ.
I had a tire that continuously leaked air so I've definitely gotten my $'s worth out of it but it's a great suggestion to other owners to take a look at it.
