Red Leather Second Thoughts?
Hi,
I've been waiting so long for my car (since March) that now i'm starting to doubt my choices. I know i liked it when i saw it, but i wonder what effect the passage of time will have.
Do any of you wish that you had not chosen the red/black leather and gone with something more subtle instead?
Thanks for your views.
I'm hoping santa will bring my car for Christmas, but there now seems a good chance that little jonny won't be getting a present this year.

Hell no!
The red and black *sold* me on this car. Even my non-believing friends had to admit that the 2tone interior looks really good.
Hope that you can get your car for the holidays!

Thanks Psylence!
I have not told my friends what colour car/interior i'm getting (for surprise factor) but when some have seen the red/black in my brochures they have said 'i hope you are not getting that!'
I get what i like, i'm not really bothered what anyone else likes, just don't want to regret it down the line.

Pimp!
I reasonably confident that i shall feel like a Superstar! At least for a while, maybe down the line i'll feel like a pimp, that's what i'm wondering about.
At least with 4 seats i can get all my bitches in there!

I also had some second thoughts between the time I preordered and picked up my car...but once I got my 8 and saw the red/black in person I didn't regret it at all! It's gorgeous combination. They got the mix just right -- not too much red.
I saw a Mercedes SLK230 the other day that was silver with a red & black interior, the red was WAY overdone...in addition to red on the seats & steering wheel, the entire center console and shift boot were also red leather. It was horrible!

Goose, it's a great combination. One of the first colors at my dealer was your exact color combination, and I almost bought it right then instead of waiting for my green/tan. I also saw jtimbck2's titanium with the red recently, and it looked just as nice. The red leather is REALLY amazing looking.

I love the red and black, seen at the dealers lot and wished I could have it. I think the car is so distinctive, why not make it stand out more. However the 2 tone interior was not available with winning blue and as my wife hates leather interiors, I pretty much have to like cloth.

I love it! Shock & awe factor is still off the charts. I think the red is deep/rich in hue & blended with the black enough to not insult the eyes. It only adds to the looks.
That, & it matches the lipstick & mini's of my ho's perfectly! :o

I loved the red and black. If they had offered it on the Winning Blue, I'd have gotten it. My Corvette has a very similar red/black interior and it looks GREAT! Chevrolet has offered it as an option on all of the Z06's.

Thanks for the response, i feel much better!
I know it looks tasty, and am very pleased to see that nobody (yet) has had second thoughts!
It's a double edged sword anyway with the leather, i test drove a car with black leather and thought the interior was a little dour and gloomy. It's all or nothing, no middle ground, i can see what you mean Andy with 'in your face', but i think the car pulls it off well.
I just hope that i feel the same way a few months (years?) down the line.

I absolutely love mine, and so do my car's fans. However, I will warn you of this. You have to clean the driver's seat OFTEN. I say this, because I only have passengers a couple of times a week, whereas I drive it all the time. So, my seat gets more use and gets dirty quick. You can see a darkness in the leather grain that the other seats don't have. A quick cleaning fixes it right up, though.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the textured side bolsters vinyl instead of leather? Either way does it get hot in hot weather and do you get arm or leg patterns on your skin after sitting for a while? Thanks.

I love the black/red interior. I was a bit skeptical before I saw it, but once I saw it I absolutely loved it. The red is a nice tone and thoughtfully placed so it really doesn't look all that flashy, rather just adds a bit of character IMO.

Red hot leather
I was not sure either if I'd think it was too much.....but the more I look at it the more I like it. Two tone stands out and really makes the car look cool and unique. Hmmmmmm...if they had red and blue leather........Go Cubs!!! Just kidding on the red/blue.
