Not looking for expensive ones? Don't bother then. Good brakes cost money and you want them for the wrong reasons.

You could just paint the stock ones, but red sliding calipers look retarded.

Lol I didn't say I want crappy brakes but I want same quality as stock ones or higher... Don't get me wrong. I have bad experiences with painting them as it fucked up my friend's calipers when he did it. Please, help me getting some decent ones and yes I know it's quite expensive but I really want them in red.

the OE brakes are considered pretty good. IIRC, the rx-8's 70-0 (or was it 60-0) rivals the corvette and Ferraris.

Dunno why they got fucked up. After a while they started making horrible squeaking noises and starting lagging. It's not for sure it was the paint's fault, but the possibility is high. Can anyone link me to something they can recommend? Couldn't find OE's homepage.

For around 3-4K you can get yourself the Brembo Gran-tursimo front big brake kit that come with red calipers.

what kind of car did your friend have? As long as you dont' take the caliper apart to paint it and get paint in places it shouldn't go....you should be fine!

Here is the Racing Brake Caliper upgrade. $1,000

the cheapest ones out there are the racing brake caliper upgrade. however, you have no choice but to paint your rear calipers.

There's no poser brake kit that I'm aware of (aside from the glue on Brembos pictured in this thread). Brake kits are designed to perform better than OEM, or else there would be no reason to buy them. There's no budget brake kit that's going to perform better than stock for cheap.

There's a reason why all the bad *** brakes are painted red or gold. Because they perform good enough to deserve being red or gold. Fortunately there are no red brake kits designed for posers.

Imagine if the simulated caliper covers said "rambo" in the same brembo font. Hahaha!
