Exclamation Rear View Mirror Keeps falling off!

a week ago, my rear view mirror fell off while i was in class. it was a really hot day in so cal, i think it was 114. that night i crapped off the rest of the glue on the windshield and the metal shoe and clean it with alcohol. then i applied the "windshield adhesive" i got from autozone.

then today while at at the LA Fair, it fell off again! whats even worse is that the metal shoe is glued to the rest of the mirror assembly and i cant get it off cause the excess glue seeped in the crease.

is there anything i can do?

i have tried searching online but i keep on getting mixed reviews on what to do.

haha, well anyways i just took the advice of a friend to use JB weld. considering your not gluing straight to the glass, it seems like it would work cause theres a thin black layer before the glass.
