at 30K, yes, you need to replace your engine.

at 60 K, you need to replace the engine and the Vtec System

at 90K, well, of course u gotta replace the engine, VVT-i and timing belt

at 120K, engine, VteC system, camshaft, all the pistons, and head gaskets.

at 150K, Mazda wants you to buy a new car. so the car will just self destruct. on its own, just make sure you're not in the car when this happens.

You miss the power steering fluid reservoir replacement.

Sunday morning............what the hell.
I actually considered this post/thread for my strangest post/thread of the month, until I ran into this one.

https://www.rx8club.com/lounge-4/strangest-post-month-205325/

socompro 09-26-2010 09:38 AM

ok because mines is at 35k so i guess mines is fine since it got replaced already

socompro 09-26-2010 09:40 AM

so basically this rumor is true about the every 30k mileage somethings needs to be replaced?

Mazurfer 09-26-2010 09:54 AM

Wow..........I really can't tell if you are kidding or not. At least you have fairly thick skin!

Here's the truthful answer to your last post..............."No".

I think you should go read these.

Now, having said all the above, it's all personal opinion, but I change my plugs at least every 15k miles(and that's a stretch)..........and if I was on OEM coils, I would change them at about 25-30k miles.

BUT..........this doesn't mean you have to do so at all. There are many people that get way more miles out of these things, and then there are people that keep driving on older possibly worn out items, and this leads to further complications.

Money really isn't an object for me, so I'm just not going to take the chance.

Bottom line is....you will get all sorts of opinions, so go read those three threads a.d you shall become enlightened.......IMO.

Remember guys, we get all kinds of walks of life here. Those who post incredibly strange questions though should expect some kind of negative responses. I am sure the one who was posting is pretty young. Just my guess. Maybe his friends were talknig about ignition coils and he heard wrong.

DocBeech 09-26-2010 06:43 PM

ignition coils, flux capacitor, blinker fluid, muffler bearings.

me and my dad actually had a parts store looking for two weeks for a radiator on a 1964 vw bug...

If so, mine would of died along time ago....... No...I'm at 93,500miles in my car and she runs perfect!

RIWWP 09-28-2010 02:58 PM

I was on the test drive for my inspection before registration renewal. The guy was about to fail me because my taillight fluid level was too low.

But then the VFAD kicked in, and i passed with flying colors.
