your best bet is to take off the header so all the exhaust will leak in the engine bay, even better

I don't have a heat problem in my '06. If the console is shut, it does get warm, so there's no denying something under there (transmission, I think) is hot. But if it's open, which it is when I've got a drink in it, it stays cool or lukewarm.

2 things You can do

1. Start asking the bartender for extra ice
2. start drinking coffee instead

I have a 05 and i noticed that its been getting alot warmer then it used to. Im thinking my redlining it 7 times a day and my premix may finally be winning the cat war.

Catless = CEL, the smell of raw fuel, 70% less console heat, and 5-8 extra ponies.

Well worth it IMO. Just hold on to your CAT for future Inspections and any major dealership visits.

 

I am catless and my console is still hot enough to cause my Stiletto to overheat.

 

The Rx 8 was the first car with an Coffee warmer.

It's also good for slices of pizza!
