Realistically, What is my Rx8 Worth?

So ive been dabbling with the though of selling my Rx8, but it seems like the resale value has just gone to the dogs since I purchased mine. So heres what I have:

2007 Mazda Rx8 Grand Touring:
-Grand touring pkg (heated seats, leather, sliding sunroof, etc.)
-Navigation Pkg.
-44k Miles
-Car has had no issues and is mechanically perfect, sparks, coils, wires changed 10k ago, oil always added when needed. its been well taken care of.
-MazSport Dual Res Midpipe
-Progresstech Sways
-Cobb AP, custom tuned
-2 12" Polk Subs with 1700W Amp
-15% tint in the front, 5% everywhere else

Exterior:
has normal wear for a 7 year old car, decent sized ding on the passenger side door, but overall the exterior is probably a 7.5/10, 8+ if the ding gets fixed cause it makes it ugly as hell. Always garaged.

Interior:
Interior is flawless atleast a 9/10 if not better, has navigation, leather, heated seats, all the bells and whistles.

I would like to think I could maybe get $16k (which is just about what KBB puts it at) out of it, but realistically I know the hammer price wont be that high, but what are yalls thoughts?

I'm going take a SWAG and say anywhere from $7 to $9 grand.

You could get a similar 2009 for 16k I bet.

Would have said the same. Good low miles, assuming no accidents, and not riced out looks clean.

Also, never say swag again, that was so 2012.

KBB is about $16k..which is why I would bet I could get way more than 7-9k for it.

KBB is a useless piece of trash, don't ever go by them, there is a reason all banks go with NADA. KBB only monitors what cars are being LISTED as, not what they're actually selling for. You can list a car all day long for 16K, but you may end up only selling it for 7K. Ditch KBB. Also i'm assuming it's a manual.

Yes, it is manual.

NADA only gives retail and trade in tho, atleast when I last checked that was all I could find, and im assuming I could get more if it were private sale.

Yeah just looked over at kbb. The 2007 was actually priced higher than the 2009.

Still think you're going to get lowballed. Probably even raped if you trade it in.

He'll be getting lowballed in the sense of what he wants to get, but he won't be getting lowballed in the sense of what it is actually worth.

Here are some listed in your area, now you can compare with the competition. Also remember, private party prices are always lower than dealer.

Just as an FYI....I bought my 04 GT 3 months ago. Absolutely flawless (no dings, no scratches, perfect interior). 41k miles. Bought it from a dealer for 10k. I would assume yours could go private for quite a bit more than that (in the range of 12k-13k) with the large "ding" it has. Post it up in the classifieds and see if you get any bites.

You sir got ripped off. He can try for 12-13 but I would rather get a S2 in that price range. He might get someone, but it isn't likely.

Theyre just a hard sale considering its rare to see an rx8 hit 100k without needing an engine rebuild..

But ill throw it up on CL and see what people offer, someone might thing like 14k is a good deal if they check KBB so who knows.. Prices on CL seem to be way higher compared to the dirt cheap prices here on 8club.

I don't see how...A quick search of most/all used RX-8's like mine and the range is between 9500 and 13000...I'd say 10k for as clean as it is was a steal...But hey...what do I know...Or hey...What do I care...Love the car and I feel it was a good buy.

As for his, I gave my opinion after quickly checking what "like ones" of his are going for and using my vehicle as a personal reference point. His safe estimate range is probably between 12-13k. You might have a different opinion and that's ok.

For a loaded 6MT GT?

Anyway...I just finished searching the classifieds on here (rx8club) and it appears that nearly every single person selling a 2004 GT must think they are worth more than you do...weird.

Sorry for Hijacking your thread Crazy.8...Hopefully you get what you want out of yours. If not, keep enjoying the ride

Having been deep in the market fairly recently, I'm guessing $9K-11K depending on how "perfect" it is. But what it really comes down to is what it's worth to you v.s. what a buyer is willing to spend.

I'd say 9-11 is about right. I bought my 04 3 years ago with similar mileage totally stock for 9k.

Now though, i could never sell it. gotta figure money invested/money recuperated

RX-8 lost its value like crazy which is sad My FD is worth more than my 8. Even my MS6 is too. There is just a very low demand for the RX8 and may be one day the rx8 will gain some infamy like the FD, but that time isn't now...

I just bought a Mazda certified 2009 RX-8 GT back in March in great shape with 29K on the clock with a bumper to bumper warranty from Mazda for 14,995. I think 16K asking price for a 2007 with a big dent in it is way to much. You can get a series 2 for that price if you look carefully. I would say 10 to 12K range would be a more realistic asking price.

One meellion dollars.
Jk.
Just ask what you want for it, & hope for the best.
I always say it's worth whatever someone wants to pay for it. Someone could fall in love with it & overpay.
I'm hoping my '04 LY GT will gain value some day because of the rarity of it, but I'm not counting on it.
