I filled up today with 89 octane but the tank before was 87. After getting gas I left the gas station and went up to 7k RPM under 1/3 throttle. I heard something that sounded like valve train rattling for just a second.

I think it's because I was running less than 91 octane but I don't remember hearing it before but I had both windows down w/o radio.

Any suggestions?




P.S. I got 21.57 MPG this time. Keeps gettin' better 'n better all the time!

I have had that happen one time. truned out to be just a bad tank of gas. It cleared up on the next fill up . Ran the same octane both times and used the same station (BP).

OH HELL YES!!! I'm driving it in my dreams and running through the videos from the last two times........two more weeks!!! WOOHOO!!!

 

Wish I could go but I'm going up to T.W.O. for March Badness on my Buell on Hwy. 129. Erik Buell himself is going to be there and I want to hear what he has to say about the 2006 models. Ya'll have fun and be careful...
