Racing-inspired paddles & their usage

I use the paddles about 85-90% of the time.
About the lag thing. My rev limiter kicks in at about 7900-8000 rpm so when using paddle shifts @7700-7800rpm seems like has almost no lag. I know I'am out of the peak hp range but my 8 seems to shift a bit quicker there.
