1. The door panels for the front and rear doors aren't from an R3. The cloth part should be the same as the R3 RECARO center section. But it's just black on this one.
2. Not only did they change the seats but they put in the center console from another car too? A normal R3 wouldn't have the switches for the heated seats.
Is it just me or is that a lot of work and money to do to a car and then turn around and sell it?

hey guys, I have found one without the recaros as well, and I'm actually considering trading my 2011 mazdaspeed 3 for it, what y'all think? it's a 2010 r3 with leather seats.

So much swapping, I'd crawl under that thing and see if it still has the yellow Bilsteins. Maybe they sucked out the urethane fill too..lol

Good question! According to many here, an R3 is any RX-8 that has any combination of seats, wheels, and interior parts. 
The more I think about it, the more it looks like the the person simply found other person(s) with RX-8s and swapped a bunch of parts before selling the car for extra $$$$
I agree that your Volks migh be worth more than the seats.
But if you sell your car one day with those wheels, it would be the honest thing for you to fully disclose that - even though your car has "nicer" aftermarket wheels - the car does not have the factory "R3" trim as it came from factory anymore.
Personally, I would never try to swap the Cosmo Red interior of my 40th AE and then sell it as a "40th AE" to somebody that might knot know such interior was the main feature of that trim/model for 2008.
And if I did, I would fully disclose I am not selling an original factory 40th AE.
I replaced my r3 wheels with Volks and you can bet your *** its still an R3 (guess what? The wheels are even worth more than the seats)! It will be sold as such as well if comes the day. Not one of you lil buggers will have any say about it either, nor will anyone be "reporting" anything. Nor will I be deceitful or dishonest in my actions for selling MY R3 as an R3. If that means I cant be an rx8club member anymore, then oh well and lol!

The shifter, wheel, and e-brake still have the red R3 stitching though.

this is an auto on a GT, but the manual ones on the R3 are the same design.

I think he just swapped the ***** itself as I have an S1 and it does not have the "Max AC" label. Mines an 04 but I have the the faceplate/stereo/ac controls from an 07 because I wanted the SAT option.
