Question on Oil Pressure Level

Hi, I recenlty purchased a 2007 grand touring manual RX-8.
I am new to manual driving and have not much knowledge about RX-8.
So Help me please.

I noticed the niddle on oil pressure level is not on the middle, but little bit above the mid point. Is this a problem??

Also, does driving on 1st gear create heat?? I feel somewhat heat on my foot when I drive on 1st gear. (Like When I am in a parking lot).
Is this a problem too?

Thank you

The 'gauge' is not an actual pressure display, it just shows you have enough pressure.
It will never change, no matter how you drive, it is either ok or not.

First gear is not designed for steady driving, but I'm sure your feet will be allright if you don't overuse it......

+1 to what Stealth said.

If you want to monitor oil pressure, you'll need an aftermarket gauge
As for 1st gear, it's nothing to worry about. Try using 2nd when cruising around parking lots.

yeah unfortuantely if you ever see the oil pressure gauge drop will it's prob already done your motor in...like said above best to just buy aftermarket gauges if you want to gauge that!

JEDI you can't monitor Oil Pressure with the AP can you? I know you can monitor somethigs... Just wondering..

No Oil Pressure or Oil temp on the AP.
it's okay though... my gauge pod setup takes care of that for me.
