Question bout oil change.....

Ok.... Just had a thought. If you're constantly puttin more oil into your 8' then is there a point in getting an oil change?

lol.. The 8 will not drain all the oil man. You'll need to discard that old oil afterwards..
But I get what your saying.

RotaryP7 is right, the system holds about 8 quarts, but lots remains in the coolers, so only four/five come out.

Fresh oil makes rotaries happy.....

I use about a half a quart about every 3 weeks so it would take me a full year to change my oil if this theory worked... so I think I would just change it.

Was thinking about this at work the other day. Normal cars, I try to change the oil every 3k miles. The heavy maintenance schedule for the 8 is every 5k miles. That probably takes into account the replenishing oil. Just my 2 cents.

Make that 150K. My brother never changed the oil in his Toyota, and the engine didn't blow until 70K.

We don't call him The God. Just something else that rhymes.

Yup and I think swoope did a DIY on how to drain the oil from the oil coolers so that you get all the oil out.
