Mine took 6 hours, 4 coats. I've have to do mine again. Guess I didn't clean them off good enough. I'm not happy about this. I can assure you that next time they will be squeaky clean before the paint goes on.

I saw where it mentioned sanding down the calipers but considering mine is only about 30 days old, I didn't see the real need.

I used a can and a half of caliper cleaner and a wire brush.

Putting tires on now and I'll post pics tomorrow when the sun is out.

Yes, I got them from pollock here at http://www.polakgraphics.com/index2....selection.html.

He's a memeber here and he guarantees them for a year. You can either use them as a decal and replace after a year or so, or you can paint an undercoat on the calipur ( a different color), put on the decal, and then paint your calipurs over the decals. When thier dry you peel off the decal and the undercoat color is permanent. I went with the decals and will replace them when they look like their coming off, it's been 8 months and they still look good...

Beautiful work, guys. I really need to do my calipers and rotors when springtime rolls around. It's too cold now. Has anyone with a black car painted their calipers a color other than black? Have any pics?

I'm telling!

I painted the calipers red on my Black RX-8. Only problem is that when I put them back on, my hands were all dirty so I need to clean them up before I post pics.

Came out pretty nice looking, If I may say so myself...

Looks nice, rodrigo67. I'm starting to think that for my (subdued) tastes, I might be better sticking with black, after all. But the yellow looks great on your car.

That is pretty close to the color I thought would be cool for my Velocity Red. What kind of paint did you use? Is it an actual high-heat brake caliper paint kit?

Looks good...
