Question about leaks under the car

Where does the AC condensation dripping occur, and where do coolant leaks occur under the car? I noticed my car was leaking today, and it occurred next to the catalytic converter. I couldn't tell if it was water or coolant (I assumed water as it was clear and not colored), and I didn't know how to check the difference.

I have some pictures of the spot, but I think they are waaaay too obscure. It's pretty damn hard getting a picture under there...

well if the coolant overflows it will be basically straight down from the belts since the fan's are angled etc etc...unless you have a leak from the block which i doubt that.....as for the evap I'm not 100% sure on the location of the evaporator but should be about straight down from the dash/firewall...best bet would be get a white shop towel/paper towel and soak it up and see if it's greenish or clear....not if you happen to have straight water for coolant this wont' work....sounds like evaporator dripping so you're fine

I'll try the paper towel method tomorrow or so. It was confusing to me because I can't see under the car very well (I need to buy a damn jack). My search of the forum led me to either coolant leak or AC condensation, but none of the threads mention where those leaks were at.

Upon rotating my tire today, I noticed a fluid puddle underneath my car! Pulled the car out and it was green in color!!! Dam radiator fluid is leaking! I went under to see where its coming from couldnt really see anything! Went under the hood and I see a hose and it looks of green corrosion. Its going into what I think is the thermostat. There is a collection of fluid to where the hose is going into. I need some words of wisdom. Ultimatley I would like to avoid going to the stealership and avoid getting it without vaseline!!!! HELP!

maybe you could find someone in your hometown to do a flushing of your coolant...

Pressure test the system; you'll spot the leak quickly!

You could also try the "taste" test; antifreeze has a sweet taste.
