Proud new owner, and very happy :)

Just got a 2004 rx-8, velocity red mica, 6 speed.

I got the grand touring package, appearance package, cargo net, navigation, accents, rear spoiler, 6 disc in dash, tape deck, and a few toehr things i cant think of at the moment. stickered at about 35,500, with lease incentives and deep discounting, the price we set the lease on was about 3200 under invoice, plus tax.

Original deal was 500 over invoice, then a 4 year lease was discounted 2500 thru a lease incentive, and we nagged on the lease price to knock another 23 dollars/month, which is another 1200 or so.

The car is amazing, i absolutely love it. finally, i feel my age again (23) after driving a Saab 9-5 for 2 years (felt 60).

Welcome. Even though it is a lease, break her in gently.

irfan: We have the exact same car . . . same color, options, etc., except I'm buying my 8! You'll love the attention, and the paint really "shines" in the sunlight. The flakes really make it stand out! Congrats!

Awesome... Welcome to the club!

Hopefully this car will help you feel 23 for the next couple of years at least!

Interesting. I haven't heard anyone else say that they leased their car. Oh well. You don't need to own it to love it. Welcome.

I leased mine last month for 2 years.I got $4250 in lease incentives plus I bought at invoice price,so I really got the car for around $6000 under sticker.I love it so far. This is my first ever lease so I will see how it goes.I look at it like a 2 year "test drive" with options at the end of the term.Happy rotoring.

Sounds like a great deal.

Now, can you turn around and purchase it outright in 6 months or so?
