Proud new owner (With pics!)

So I was debating making this thread because I'm sure you guys get plenty of these, but what the hell.

Just a little back story, scroll down if you just want the pics

The car dealership we bought our previous two cars from, went to auction and was looking for one. Fast forward 5 weeks and they still didn't find one. So we saw an ad for a 2006 GT at a Toyota dealership. We went on memorial day and test drove it. Ran great - 27,400 miles, one previous owner. They wanted $23,000. We said no way and walked out. They called us back May 31st, and said they would do $17,500. A $5,500 reduction. Always buy a car on the last day of the month!

So we went to the dealership and test drove it again. 27,400 miles. Not a single person had driven it in a week. So I left the dealership a fairly happy camper.

And now the pics!

And tonight I went to see Iron Man with my girlfriend. We were laughing walking into the theater at two corvettes parked next to each other.

We walk out and this happened.

Mine is on the left. Thank you whoever parked next to me!

I think we got a pretty good deal on it, and there isn't a word for how much I enjoy this car, and I've only been driving it for two days!

I'm also a new owner as well, but my story of getting my 8 is a blessing from above and a bit funny. After i got out of high school i've been attending a pilot school away from home, and i had to use one of the trucks from my dad's carlot. I've been using a 2002 ford f-150 to get myself around until my father got me a car for actually being focused on school as a gift. Some gift, heh. He does most of his shopping on ebay and usually finds pretty good deals. But one day he ran across an auction for a 2005 Mazda RX-8, and since the bid was low he bid on it. The car was at a low bid because the photo was not of the car itself and it had damage, but still drove. With purchase and shipping included he bought the 8 for $4,000. As soon as i got back home i drove it for the weekend, didn't care whether it had scratches or dents. Every shift that i made felt so smooth, as if the car drove with grace. I completely fell in love with it, but now i'm still with the ford waiting for the car to come out of the shop. BTW the car has 22,000 miles and drove like new, nothing wrong mechanically with it. Lucky me, heh.

Tell me about it, when my dad told me the condition it was described i was already expecting engine stalling and messed up transmission. Still repairable. But when i saw it it totally caught me off guard. I was in disbelief that he bought it for only $4,000. But i guess it was just meant to be, heh.

Great Deal mate..
Don't forget you also now have a 8 year 100,000 mile engine warranty even though you are the second owner.
Cheers
Ash

PS. I also will send you a PM in a minute or two.

Thanks a lot guys, and congratulations Nevarez. Awesome car, aren't they?

I just have one quick question. I have the auto leveling headlights. It seems whenever I turn them on that the right headlight is slightly higher than the left one. Is this normal or is there some way to adjust them?

Again, thanks everyone!

I'm not 100% sure, but I read somewhere that the left headlight is lower to help avoid blinding oncoming traffic on the other side of the road?
