For those interested, the production/serial numbers of the 1,500 RX-8 Shinkas built for the ’06 MY should be uploaded on the Mazda website in the next couple of days.

The first Shinka was built on 2-1-06…the last on 4-21-06.

And yes, for those that might doubt the existence of it...I do have the full listing from Mazda in hand...;-)

Nope...I received the full production/serial # data file for the '06 Shinkas from a Mazda rep...I asked for it...and got it. On the list #1 shows a production date of 2-1-06...#1500 shows a production date of 4-21-06.

Absolutely.

I'd seen production numbers month-by-month on the Mazda corporate Website, but not broken-down more than simple model number (3, 6, RX-8, etc.).

It used to be that Mazda issued a limited production # certificate for an SE(I had one on an '03 MX-5 SE) but doing a search through this forum, it didn't seem that was the case for the '05 & '06 Shinkas.

When I posted a thread about a week ago, there was no response to the inquiry regarding production data/serial #'s for the '06 Shinka so I approached Mazda for the info. I asked for it on Wednesday afternoon and had the full 1500 unit '06 Shinka listing (prod. #, Prod. date, VIN #) on Friday morning.

 

Too bad they didn't list how many were made of each color for '06.........
