Sorry to revive this thread, I recently bought my rx8 and just found out it is a shinka. However, my Vin is not on the list... I emailed Mazda, they verified the production date as 02/22/2006, and that is a shinka after checking the options on the Vin so I know it was changed after.. It has the alcantara interior and is copper red except there's no marking on the b pillars. I was curious to find out the production number. Anyone able to help?

#895 here. WWP and still running like a champ.
mazda service records show engine AND auto transmission swapped at 28k. Currently has 116k.
Got it in December last year for $2900 and it had a CAI in it and a bonus infinity 1200w amp and two 12" infinty subs in an enclosure in the trunk.
If the engine ever dies, I can just crank up the bass.

Maybe I should revise that cost. $600 bass system plus $450 CAI I guess I paid just over $1800 for the actual car.
