Does anyone know Mazda planned annual production numbers for the US? I hope it's at least 9000 units. I really don't want the RX-8 to become a small run production car. It would really increase its theft rate, insurance, and maintenance if it was.

 

IIRC, there will be something like 50,000 produced anually (give or take 10k), so I imagine at the very least 10,000 of those will make it to the US each year. Probably more like 20,000. Seems high to me, but hopefully there's enough of a market for this car for it to succeed with this many being produced.
